Questions

Who can use a B-BBEE sworn affidavit?
Exempted Micro Enterprises (turnover up to R10 million) and Qualifying Small Enterprises (R10–R50 million) that are at least 51% black owned. Other QSEs and large businesses need a verification certificate.
What B-BBEE level is an EME?
Under the generic codes: 100% black owned is Level 1, at least 51% black owned is Level 2, and all other EMEs are Level 4.
How long is a B-BBEE affidavit valid?
Generally 12 months from the date it is commissioned. Do a new one each financial year.
