Questions
- What must a South African tax invoice show?
- A VAT-registered supplier's full tax invoice needs the words “tax invoice”, supplier and recipient details and VAT numbers, a serial number, date, description, value and VAT. Our guide lists every Section 20 requirement.
- I'm not VAT registered — can I still use it?
- Yes. Leave VAT off and it becomes a normal invoice. Do not call it a tax invoice or charge VAT unless you are registered.
- Is this invoice generator really free?
- Yes. It runs in your browser, needs no sign-up and nothing you type is stored by us.
- How do I save it as a PDF?
- Press Print, then choose “Save as PDF” as the printer. The layout is set up for A4.
